Deepika-Ranbir Love Story: It's all over

Obituaries are being written for Ranbir-Deepika relationship which now seems to have reached the dead end. Their constant fights have taken a toll on their relationship and the two look far away from a patch up.

The couple who had started dating during the shooting of Bachna Ae Haseeno in Australia do not seem to have anything left in their relationship and repeated efforts from close friends to cool things down between them have gone in vain.

Says a source, "All attempts of a patch-up between the couple by well-wishers have failed. Constant fighting has taken a toll on their relationship. Although they are now on talking terms, the spark is gone. It looks like the end of the road."

The unsavoury rumours of their impending break-up became public when the couple did not attend Karan Johar’s fashion show together. They were seen together later in the evening at designer Shabina Khan's bash but on looking at their face one could easily detect the stress in their relationship.

Adds the source, "Ranbir is feeling stifled by Deepika's presence. She hovered around him constantly. His girlfriend's constant surveillance became a source of stress which ultimately led to a breakdown in the relationship."

Both Ranbir and Deepika are young and focused in their career. They are destined to build up their career now at the cost of their relationship. There were also rumour of Ranbir's alleged closeness to Katrina Kaif. Deepika has been engaged in a cat fight with Katrina for quite some time now over this issue. Also that fact that Ranbir's mom Neetu Singh never approved of his affair with Deepika seems to be acting as a catalyst towards this break up.

A source close to the couple says, "Yes, they are going through tough times, but hopefully they will emerge out of it smiling. There are still feelings there. And they both want to make it work."

The steamy kissing scene which was filmed recently for their upcoming movie Kurbaan is said to be the longest between any two stars in the history of Bollywood. Sources close to the movie say that the kissing scene seemed to be never ending during the shooting of the movie.Director Rensil D’Silva wants to present the chemistry between the real life lovers in the movie. He is banking on the kissing scene so much so that Rensil believes that a certain section of the sex-starved audience will come to the theatres just to see Saif and Kareena in bed. It remains to be seen whether this scene does wonders for the movie or ends up as another of those marketing stunts so common in Bollywood.
